Managing Your Contra Account

Managing your Contra account allows you to tailor your experience to your specific needs. Here's how to navigate your account settings effectively:

  1. Changing Your Email: If you need to update the email associated with your account, follow these simple steps:
    • Go to your "Account Settings" page.
    • Update the email in the Email field.
    • Click "Save Changes."
    • Check your email inbox and follow the link to confirm the email address update.
  2. Switching Account Types: You can freely switch between Hiring and Freelancer profiles.
    • Click your avatar.
    • Select "Switch to Hiring" or "Switch to Independent" to toggle between profiles.
  3. Deleting Your Account: If you've decided to part ways with Contra, we're sorry to see you go! However, we value your feedback and would appreciate hearing about your experience. To delete your account permanently:
    • Go to your "Account Settings."
    • Click "Delete Account," and then at the bottom of the page.
    • Click "Permanently Delete Account."
    • Keep in mind that you have 30 days before your account is permanently deleted, allowing you time to reconsider if you change your mind.
